Thanks to our clients, Cfx family and friends, it has been another amazing year at Cfx, Inc. We celebrated our 16th anniversary, witnessed a total solar eclipse, and enjoyed working with our stellar clients.
Each year on Halloween, the characters on the Cfx, Inc. team relish in the opportunity to dress up as different characters. This year was a spooktacular time, with our friends from St. Louis Earth Day, Green Dining Alliance, and Emerging Wisdom joining us for a pot luck lunch, followed by the annual Cfx costume-contest photoshoot. See if you can guess who everyone is! Happy Halloween!
Guys, maneuver your way over to Huffords on June 8th for our first-annual evening for the boys!
Huffords’ Whiskey, Watches, and Wheels event features everything the modern man loves: a selection of fine bourbons, watches from top brands such as Cartier, Breitling and Rolex, and awe-inspiring cars from St. Louis Motorcars.
A portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit St. Louis ProPlayers, an organization of former pro athletes who are dedicated to helping today’s youth reach their greatest potential in the areas of academics, athletics and the arts.
Exotico Tequila (owned by longtime client, Luxco, and branded by Cfx) was a primary sponsor of this year's trade show, and several Cfx-ers ventured to Sin City to support one of our favorite brands and clients. Vendors of all walks presented their products, including lighting and sound, decor and furnishings, marketing and promotions, media apps, glassware, spirits, beer, and wine.
Cfx saw this as a prime opportunity to keep our finger on the pulse of the industry by making ourselves privy to the upcoming trends and innovations that drive this constantly-growing industry. We pride ourselves in understanding and researching our clients' industries by attending events such as these.
Glenn Ligon, an American conceptual artist, explores race, language, identity, desire, and sexuality in his works, and is noted as one of the originators of the term Post-Blackness.
Ligon works in multiple media, including neon, painting, photography, video, and digital media. His work is influenced by his experiences as an African American and as a gay man living in the U.S.
Ligon fuses his complex personal history and formal art education to create emotionally-charged works that deliver challenging messages. Regardless of the mediums he employs, Ligon’s work varies between startling honesty and humor, reminding viewers that intolerance can’t be ignored.
Chilled Magazine recently published a great article about Luxco's newly released Ezra Brooks Straight Rye Whiskey. Cfx designed and developed Ezra Brooks' website, along with the majority of their printed materials and lifestyle photography. We're excited to see this brand grow within the bourbon landscape. Cheers, Ezra!

As we celebrate the achievements and significance of Black Americans in our country’s history, we’d like to kickoff Black History Month by shining a spotlight on local artist, musician, entrepreneur, humanitarian, and close friend of Cfx, Nelly.
Beginning his career as a St. Louis born-and-bred rapper/singer, Nelly has blossomed into a humble businessman and entrepreneur, launching and running the ex’treme Institute by Nelly, and most recently performing at Powell Symphony Hall with the St. Louis Symphony.

Nelly also quietly contributes to a wide variety of charities and causes, having donated to such organizations as 21st Century Leaders, 4sho4kids, Ante Up For Africa, Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, ENOUGH Project, Not On Our Watch, and Whatever It Takes.
In recent years Nelly has also developed a scholarship program honoring the late Michael Brown, and has sent an average of two kids to college per year for the last decade.
Check back throughout the month, as we honor various artists that have impacted American culture in humanitarian, entrepreneurial, and artistic endeavors.
Cfx was given the opportunity to design a responsive, customer-facing website for the brand. Additionally, Cfx orchestrated and conducted a lifestyle photoshoot at a local pub to highlight the brand in its environment.
What better way to kick off the new year than by celebrating the 16th anniversary of Cfx? This Sunday, January 8th, marks 16 years since Chris Frank and Megan Frank joined forces as a husband-and-wife-team to form Cfx, Inc., proving all along the way that you can in fact have your cake and eat it too.
It has been a sweet 16 years for Cfx. We’re excited about the future and all that it will bring; new projects and opportunities to expand the Cfx portfolio, growth with new and longstanding clients, company travels both professional and leisurely, and a tremendous dose of camaraderie and laughter along the way. Thank you to all our clients, friends, and families for your continued support.
Our favorite part of the holidays wrapping up (other than puns) is the fresh start that the new year brings – not only in theory, but in people’s lifestyles and daily habits. Nearly everyone sets new year’s resolutions with the goal of giving their lives a facelift. Whether the objective is to eat better, exercise more, spend more time with loved ones, eliminate caffeine from one’s diet, or literally get a facelift, the ringing in of the new year brings unanimous hope and optimism.
Cfx has had a phenomenal, fun, adventurous, and productive year, and it’s our sincerest wish that all of you did as well. Cheers to 2017, wishing you and yours blessings of health and happiness. Happy New Year!
Twas the night before Cfx-mas, when all through the agency, the wi-fi was fast, not one bit of latency. Chairs were pushed under their desks with care, in hopes that next week our clients would be there.
The creatives were nestled all snug in their beds, while visions of Creative Cloud danced in their heads. And Chris in his ‘kerchief, and Megan in her cap, never settle their brains, never heard of a nap.
When straight from my cell phone arose such a clatter, I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter. Away to my laptop I flew like a flash, powered it up and entered my pass(word)…
A notification on the inbox of my company account, with the luster of work, there’s no time for that now. When, what to my wondering eyes should appear, but a holiday email, and one full of cheer.
"Now, Nick! now, Tyler! now, Adam and Wesley! On, Chris! On, Megan! on, Amy and CC! To the creative team, who has earned some time off! Now run away! Run away! Run away all!"
As clients check out before Christmas day comes, we break from the keyboards to type with our thumbs. Posting on Facebook like, “What’s there to do?”, with Friday off work, and Monday off, too.
And then, with a sound, I heard on my tablet, a Facebook message, I checked it by habit. I began reading, and then heard a sound, down the chimney St. Nick came with a bound.
He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot, in one hand his iPhone, in the other his Nook. A bundle of toys he had flung on his back, it looked like a man purse, or something like that.
His eyes-how they twinkled! Reflecting the screen! Santa got a “Like”, and boy those eyes gleamed! The corners of his mouth were drawn up like a bow, and the beard of his chin was as white as the snow.
The stump of a vape pen held tight in his teeth, and the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath. He had a plaid shirt and a moustache and bells, he said, “Milk and cookies? I’d rather have Rebel Yell.”
He was a new age Santa, a hipster let’s say, you likely wouldn’t notice on any other day. A bite of the cookie and one sip of bourbon, and Santa’s sled started a-swervin’.
He mumbled some words, and went straight back to work, and filled all the stockings, then turned with a jerk. And laying his finger aside of his nose, and giving a ”suh dude”, up the chimney he rose!
He sprang to his sleigh, pulled up GPS, and away he flew to appease all the rest. But I heard him exclaim, as he drove out of sight,
"Merry Cfx-mas to all, and to all a good-night!"

This time of year, nearly everyone gets into the holiday spirit. People start decking the halls and trimming the trees, seasonal music pours from storefronts, and a handful of radio stations switch to round-the-clock holiday music for the month of December. Huffords Jewelry is one of Cfx Inc.’s clients that fully embraces the holiday.
Cfx once again partnered with Huffords Jewelry — “making [their] spirits bright” by developing a full marketing campaign for the holiday season.
In addition to the store’s seasonal graphics, Cfx also produced digital assets for Huffords' website, along with supporting materials for Huffords’ social media channels, and a corresponding invitation for their annual holiday event.
To sign up for invitations to Huffords Jewelry’s exclusive events, visit their web page here, and be sure to visit their store in Frontenac for the true Huffords experience.
Cfx, Inc. owners, Chris Frank and Megan Frank, brought back an old tradition this year when they surprised their staff with a company holiday trip to Mexico.
Just last week Team Cfx boarded a plane to Riviera Maya for a four-day stint at a resort. The number of laughs and smiles shared by all were in such excess that it’s hard to imagine any other group enjoying themselves more.
Cfx is not only a corporate team, but a group of friends with the bond of a family. We work together, we break for lunch together, and we even travel together. Here’s to many more. ¡Viva Cfxico!
