Taking a look at this web design project by Dops Digital, a studio based in Lviv, Ukraine. Their latest project is about either a concept or an upcoming new site for National Geographic. Built with an 8-Point Grid, the visual approach will be mostly about vertical rhythm to play with the repetitive pattern.
The team over Dops has done a tremendous job with the interactions, let's a look at the "search" for example. The UX pattern is different from what we are used to. With no input field and a smooth animation to trigger the "search". Along with more features, you should definitely check out the entire project.
Web design has undergone tremendous evolution since the first site launched in mid-1991. Beginning as a simple text-based page, websites have now grown into fully-interactive, animated pages that can intelligently accommodate multiple interfaces including cell phones, tablets, desktops, and more.
Editorial designs are beginning to replicate beautifully-designed magazine pages, and with the integration of animation, the reader experience is being improved upon every single day. The San Francisco World Spirits Competition is the most respected and influential spirits competition in the world. Spirits are judged during a blind taste test by a panel of industry experts, and spirits that are awarded by the SFWSC are understood around the world as the best the industry has to offer.
Two of the many notable honors awarded to Luxco in this year's competition were "Best Straight Bourbon", awarded to David Nicholson® Reserve, and "Double Gold", awarded to David Nicholson 1843®. Both prestigious awards come at the heels of a full packaging redesign executed by Cfx, including label updates and corked capsule enclosures. Exotico® Tequila, owned by Cfx, Inc. client Luxco, made a tremendous impression last week in Las Vegas during the Nightclub & Bar Convention and Trade Show. As a main sponsor of this year’s trade show, Exotico had a demanding presence at the trade show and at key nightlife events during the four days of festivities.
The convention kicked off last Monday with a poolside party that featured a select few vendors and exhibitors. The Exotico booth featured branded lighting elements, glowing wristbands, and a strobing co-branded drink mixer featuring the Exotico brand.
The hype continued the following afternoon at Day #1 of the trade show, where each guest was presented with an Exotico-branded swag bag. Guests were seen adorned with the Exotico bags throughout both days of the convention, heighten brand awareness every step of the way. The brand also received accolades from other vendors who were eager to partner and align themselves with the Exotico brand.
The Exotico booth at the trade show was adorned with many Cfx-designed pieces including postcards, co-branded Lit Up Beverages cans, and the hugely popular Exotico Shot Skis, which garnered their fair share of attention at the convention.

Chilled Magazine recently published a great article about Luxco's newly released Ezra Brooks Straight Rye Whiskey. Cfx designed and developed Ezra Brooks' website, along with the majority of their printed materials and lifestyle photography. We're excited to see this brand grow within the bourbon landscape.
